Emme Griffith is an American mezzo-soprano who captivates audiences with her warm, rich tone and expressive artistry. Praised by conductors and directors alike as a delight to work with, she is recognized not only for her musical talent but also for the maturity and professionalism she brings to every rehearsal and performance.

Vocally, Emme has studied classical voice for ten years and currently trains under Professor Renée Tatum at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Faculty members comment that they are “struck by the color and richness of [her] voice.” Now in the second year of her master’s degree in vocal performance, she continues to refine and polish her instrument with dedication and artistry.

Recently, Emme has sung the roles of Ruggiero in Alcina and Alma March in Little Women with the Trentino Music Festival, as well as Mère Jeanne in Dialogues des Carmélites with UT Opera Theater. Next, she will be singing the Gamekeeper’s Wife in UTOT’s production of Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen in April of 2026.

Outside the rehearsal room, Emme enjoys training at her local CrossFit gym. This practice not only gives her a keen awareness of the body’s muscular structure but also helps her develop the stamina and physicality required for the demanding roles she performs on stage.
